She raised 5 children during the Depression. She was a welder during the war at the Portland Shipyard. Though she has had all these tribulations she remains one of the most positive people I know. Winning Benefactor: Is organizing a charity event to raise money for children with cancer in what she is deeming “Operation Swan Dive.” The event will combine her love of skydiving and her love of music, as her favorite band Sister Hazel (who founded the benefiting charity, Lyrics For Life that the money will go to) will also be taking part, including three band members who will jump.
